Internet Casino Sucker Bets — Part II

Progressive side bets: Games such as Caribbean Stud Poker commonly offer one of these. You usually lay a bet (a dollar is the usual amt.) to try to win a bonus jackpot that could be upwards of twenty-five thousand dollars. Although huge jackpots like this are particularly appealing, they’re also particularly difficult to succeed. You would have to get a Royal Flush in order to win this wager. Also, think about this- you wager 20 hands and make the side wager each time. That’s $20 you should have used towards the real game wager instead of a sucker wager. Imagine what you might have been able to win at a bet with more favorable odds employing that $20.
Single number bets in Roulette: This is especially true for American Roulette. The reason? American Roulette has 2 0’s on the wheel, unlike European Roulette, which has only one. This shifts the overall casino edge from 2% with one zero wheel to a whopping 5percent in American. The individual number bet has just a one in thirty eight chance of winning, which are very big odds indeed. Bet on even-odd or black-red wagers instead which have a much lower house advantage.
Keno: Any variation of Keno, and anyway you wager on it, the casino advantage can be a huge 25%. Yes, that is not a error. Due to the large set of numbers you have to pick, it’s not recommended to bet on Keno to often. A few times for enjoyment, perhaps. But do not spend all your money on it or you will quickly find yourself broke.
